🍁 Grant Career Center Sources of Strength – Thankful Tree 🍁
Our Sources of Strength club created a Thankful Tree this week, giving students a chance to pause, reflect, and recognize what they’re grateful for this holiday season.
From family and friends to teachers, lab partners, and opportunities here at Grant—our students filled the tree with messages that remind us what truly matters.
We’re proud of our students for spreading positivity, building connections, and strengthening our school community. ❤️🌳
Choose to Be Great. Choose Gratitude. Choose Grant Nation.

Our groom of the week! She was adopted last September from SAAP. She was pulled out of a shelter in Kentucky and was only with her foster family for a day before she came home to live with us. She spends her days playing ball, going on walks, going to the dog park, snuggling with owners and dragging all of her toys out of her toy box. She even gets dessert after her dinner every night. Penny's favorite thing in the world is chasing her ball. She could play ball for hours and never get tired. For her 1 year adopt-adversary she got a pinata that looked like a giant tennis ball, that was filled with tennis balls. She had to pull a ball attached to a string and then all of the tennis balls rained down on her. Penny's newest trick that she learned is to get amazon packages off the front porch. She is very proud of herself when she runs back inside with the package. She often will even help her owner open them if they don't stop her fast enough. #VetScience #StudentReporter

Shelter animal of the week! Meet out lovely burst of energy, Moonlight. During the bit of snow we had, she enjoyed playing and running around with her toy! She is a year-old mix breed, and she loves the attention! ❤ #studentreporter

The Grant Career Center FFA has returned from the 98th National FFA Convention in Indianapolis IN. It was a 3-day packed adventure of General sessions, workshops, meetings, and even a Rodeo, with over 79,000 FFA members from every state in the nation. We also squeezed in a tour of the Purdue University Equine Specialty Hospital, where Tracy Reich spent a large portion of her day showing us the facility and sharing the day-to-day operations of the Hospital. Thank You, Tracy! Friday morning, we traveled to Everhart Herefords. Bruce Everhart, past President of the American Hereford Association, shared his knowledge and expertise in raising and showing quality Hereford cattle. Thank you, Bruce and Shoshanna Everhart, for your dedication and encouragement to our FFA students. Saturday, we wrapped up our week with a very early start to the FFA American Degree award ceremony, where only 1% of the national organization members accomplish this goal. Our very own, Shelby Cornwell, was awarded this distinguished award, and we are very proud of her accomplishments, leadership and encouragement to Grant Career Center FFA Congratulations Shelby!
